Microchip Terror – the sadist from Singapore – is back in dastardly action and ready to showcase the fruits of his latest evil research in “Illegal Experiments!”
This vile and foul release is a prefect blend of darksynth and industrial, building a new sound that other darksynth artists can only tease at. This release is reaching up to the greats like Carpenter Brut, GosT and Perturbator.
However, “Illegal Experiments” turns away from the outright slasherwave aesthetic, instead relying on a mix of the Lovecraftian “Reanimator” and “Tetsuo: The Iron Man” – creating his very own warped, original imagery.
The last track of this album, “Megatron” pays homage to Microchip Terror’s industrial roots, honoring the late Chu Ishikawa who composed industrial soundtracks like “Tetsuo: The Iron Man,” and “Dead or Alive 2: Birds.”
All around Microchip Terror has tuned this release with more melody better production than his first self titled EP – a fantastic update to an already polished sound! Check it out below!
